Meet Hysterium, your typical gray African bull elephant, and a giant of a man. The pachyderm is very experienced and well traveled in his early fourties. Very aware that he is not going to get any younger, he takes each day to appreciate that was given to him, whether from friends and family or earned from his job as a landscaper. Hyst always enjoys helping other people, and the smiles and words of appreciation make his work that much more worthwhile.
His face is clean shaven and well kept, but wrinkles define his true age. The elephant tries constantly to mask his old appearance; in hopes to retain a more youthful visage. However, after countless attempts and a bit of self-searching, he gave up and embraced his natural looks. Large floppy ears extend from either side of his majestic head; while they normally provide an excellent sense of hearing, he is quite the opposite from having been born practically deaf in his left ear. A thick appendage hangs from the middle of his face – his trunk, thick, firm and prehensile. On either side of the base of his trunk is a pair of ivory white tusks, long and pointed although the tips are slightly blunted. His eyes are a light ocean blue, and appear to shimmer in the sunlight.
The elephant is a brute of a man, and his physique pays homage to his size. Starting off, his neck is thick and muscular to carry the weight of his massive head. As the eyes wander down, equally thick tree trunks of arms are perfectly muscled, but not to the point of appearing grotesque. A broad chest with toned pectorals accentuates his surprisingly large and rounded stomach; a product of his old age and lack of keeping up an exercise regimen. The elephant’s powerful, toned legs work down to massive, wide feet that generate imprints in the same shape. He typically walks around with no shoes on because of his distaste for footwear, having experienced the constricting feeling of walking around in a pair of steel-toed worker’s boots.
Normally, one can find Hysterium wearing his typical outfit: a pair of tan, loose fitting cargo pants held up by a simple leather belt, a plain white undershirt that is tucked in and covered by a casual black button-down shirt that he usually keeps unbuttoned. The cuffs are unbuttoned and are usually found rolled up to his elbows.
